Anne began her career in Clinical
Photography at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and continued
working in the field of clinical imaging until
her family career during 1984 - 1989.
when she joined
Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary as a Scenes of Crime
Officer.
In the same year Anne was invited to
join Scottish Qualifications Authority as and External
Verifier.
Anne has always been active in the
community and was a volunteer with the local Health Council
Advocacy project. She made a
major career change when, in the
early 2000s changes in the national
strategy for the NHS and local government which led
to a more integrated approach to patient involvement and
community engagement.
With experience in designing,
delivering and evaluating national programmes of learning,
together with experience in delivering and facilitating
patient involvement and community engagement, Anne was
positioned to take a lead role within the Health Council in
developing and accrediting a customised programme of
learning for public involvement. The project, which, was
undertaken on behalf of the Scottish Executive Department of
Health and accredited by Scottish Qualifications Authority,
was delivered across Scotland to all NHS Boards.
Following the dissolution of local
Health Councils by the Scottish Executive in 2006,
Anne established her own management consultancy.
