Sheila Browning
Sheila has 25 years management experience as a consultant, general
manager and as an engineering manager, with an excellent
track record in both the SME and multinational sectors.
She is a member of the Institute of
Directors, and previously was accredited as a Chartered
Engineer when she was a member of the Institute of
Production Engineering, the International Society for
Professional Innovation Management and is coordinator of
the Scottish fractal of the Society of Organisational
Learning. She is also a licensed NLP Practitioner,
and is accredited to carry out Insights Discovery and Belbin
Team Roles psychometric profiling.
Sheila has worked in the UK, Europe and the USA since
1988 with multinationals, SMEs and professional partnerships
helping them to develop their strategies for reorganisation
and change management to increase their competitive
advantage. Through executive coaching of the senior
management team, she has helped them to increase top team
synergy and has also assisted them to deploy and implement
their strategies, enabling the organisation to improve
performance and sustain growth.
15 years of experience in manufacturing
(engineering and quality) and sales and marketing (including
8 years with Hewlett Packard) enable Sheila to effectively
support SME start ups and new technology ventures. In the
early stages of development, the attention of the team is
often primarily focused on the development of the product
or service. They may have little expertise in selling and
marketing themselves as individuals (or the company and its
products) to venture capitalists, and if it is a young team,
little experience of the business world.
