Central Government - UK
4-consulting was commissioned by the Home Office through the OCG to conduct a strategic review of forensic pathology services in England and Wales. A ministerial statement accepting the key recommendations of the review and setting out the Government's intentions was made to the House of Commons in March 2003. The service was restructured to offer better career opportunities for practitioners and to be more effective, achieving improved value for money.
4-consulting advised the Ministry of Defence (DARA) in a project
which would tender out an existing outsourced manufacturing ERP and production management
system. Our role was assisting the in-house team to complete a Statement of Requirements for a new outsource contract and advising on the tendering process,
evaluation methods and criteria of tenders. The resulting outsource contract produced very significant costs savings to the tax payer.
An
advisory report was prepared by 4-consulting for the Electoral Commission on the development of an Outreach Strategy through examining options for target audiences and activities. We used our “Impact Matrix” TM to enable the organisation to prioritise its best value for money projects.
