leading fund management company, Martin Currie Investment Managers Ltd commissioned 4-consultingto design and deliver a customised programme of project management training using an adaptation of PRINCE II.
The improvements in project management have enabled the company to control costs and focus on the delivery of strategic objectives. In an evaluation of its
new approach to project management, the company has confirmed that it has assisted significantly in a major culture change. Martin Currie plc was nominated as one of the Top 50 small companies to work for in the Sunday Times 2003 poll.
4-consulting
Director, Ros Southcott, worked with teams within the Student Loans Company to help them respond to the changing business environment and the challenges of the Modernising Government initiative. Projects included team strategy planning days, training in a new performance management system and a review of development policies and procedures. The company achieved
IIP accreditation in 2000 and was successfully reviewed in 2003. In a separate project,
another of our directors, Sandy Pratt, was commissioned to document its
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) disaster recovery plan. As a result, the organisation was able to reduce its dependency on third party service organisations and improve its anticipated service levels in the event of a major loss of its ICT facilities.
