Tourism & Leisure
4-consulting Director, Ros
Southcott, led a team to assist the Wales Tourist Board to create a robust business planning process by involving the Directors and senior staff in a coaching programme.
Its objectives were to promote a better understanding of the fit between strategic priorities and day-to-day activities, to improve project selection and implementation and to achieve a wider and more integrated participation and buy-in from staff. The programme used our “Impact Matrix” ™ which facilitates the prioritisation of projects against an organisation's strategic objectives.
In a project for Rainton Organic Farm
located near Castle Douglas, 4-consulting Director, Fiona Ballantyne,
developed a marketing and interpretation strategy aimed at developing the Farm's existing tourism business
and extending the season by attracting new markets - such as ‘Greys' and ‘Greens' - in addition to the summer family market. The project involved the assessment of the potential of new target markets, the identification of their needs, recommendations on visitor management and on the interpretation of the site.
