A Review of Car Parking in Kirkcaldy

4-Consulting were commissioned by the Business Improvement District (BID) Kirkcaldy4All to review Car Parking in Kirkcaldy Town Centre.  Town centre businesses were surveyed to help the BID understand the problems that needed to be tackled. The most commonly cited problem was town centre car parking.

Our report found that key town centre car parking tickets totalled nearly £1,400 for each town centre business in just one year in Kirkcaldy.  Our report outlined a number of key issues that need to be tackled including the development of a town centre parking plan.  This is now being taken forward by Fife Council and the Kirkcaldy BID.

“We have worked with 4-consulting on a number of projects. On each occasion they have provided an in-depth analysis of the research findings and have helped communicate these to a wide audience. Their report on parking was instrumental in securing commitment from all stakeholders to produce a local parking plan.”

Bill Harvey, Kirkcaldy Business Improvement District (February 2015)
