Board of Directors' or Management Executive' Role

The Board of Directors (or the ultimate Management Executive team) are primarily responsible for ensuring that projects contribute properly to the long-term corporate goals and for high-level oversight of all projects.

Specifically, the Board's role includes:

Identify key projects
Appoint project sponsors
Approve budgets
Prioriting Projects Prioritise projects
Allocate budgets
Project Dashboard Monitor progress - the "helicopter" view
Instruct changes in response to changed business needs
Supervise the overall allocation of staff resources to project activities
Governance Intervene, when necessary, to stop, redirect or amend projects using the information available from the progress reports produced by the various Steering Committees
