One of the more important
responsibility of the Board of Directors or the Executive Management
team is to maintain an overview of all of the active projects being
carried out across the entire company.
One of the best ways of presenting the "helicopter view" is
the Project Dashboard.
The top blue band contains the principal long-term objectives, which we
call Value Drivers. The Value Drivers are sub-divided into project
categories. We use the blue colour-code to show which category each
project belongs; the aim is to ensure that each project advances some
aspect of the Corporate Plan.
Each project is summarised in a single row and we use "RAG"
colour codes to indicate the state of each of the projects. The
Business Plan Target column indicates when we might expect the benefits of
the project to start contributing.
