Estimating - Project NOT Feasible!

Sometimes, no matter how you juggle the numbers, you cannot find a way of producing a project plan where the time and costs cannot fit inside the budget or time constraints imposed by the Sponsor and/or the organisation.
In such cases, the project manager must:

Tell the Sponsor
Ask if the business could tolerate:

-

extended timescales, OR

-

increased budgets, OR

-

releasing staff with the highest available level of skills to the project
Re-plan and re-estimate
Otherwise ........ insist that the project is not feasible!
