Managing Stakeholder Expectations

The Sponsor and Project Manager have a joint responsibility for managing stakeholders' expectations.  This means:
identifying everybody/department/user-group/external organisations
making sure that all the stakeholders share and understand each others' expectations
clearly defining and explaining the timescales and delivery dates
ensuring that everyone understands the project outcomes and success criteria
