The Project Management Cycle

Well managed projects have four stages that start with the DEFINITION of the project.  The project manager cycles through each of the stages constantly checking:

where the project has been

where it going next

what are the risks

that the realisable benefits are still achievable and relevant
The key stages are -

2/3rds of the effort in managing a project lies in the Definition and Planning stages, but it does not stop there - it goes on throughout the life of the project
